Just to introduce myself

Hello all, I just want to introduce myself. My name is Monica or you can call me Nutz. I decided to create a blog so I can just put my thoughts out there for all to see. I love to read and watch movies. I have 2 teenagers and a wonderful husband. That is all I am going to say for now... I will write more later...

One thing about my blog is that I try to post all book reviews, whether they are new or old books. I know I haven't been posting them as much lately, it is just that I have been busy with the holidays and the new year. I am going to post most of my reviews that I wrote since May of 2009. Review-Stonger After Stroke

This is a book that I received from Library Things (LT) Member Giveaways. It is an Advanced Copy and there were some typographical errors which I expected. I found the book quite informative and very useful. Even though I have not suffered a stroke nor am I currently caring for some one I am glad to have had the opportunity to read the book and do my review. I have posted a review on LT and my forum. Stronger After Stroke is a great book to learn about helping someone that has suffered a stroke. You learn that you should push the limits yet be cautious and always consult your doctor. Peter Levine does a great job of explaining the recovery process in detail. I like how each section was set up the same so you knew what to expect as you read. You first learn the concept/idea and then you learn how it is done. The last part of each section you are given the Precautions that should be taken. Review - Paper Towns by John Green

Have you ever heard of Paper Towns? I didn't know what to expect when I picked up this book by John Green. This book was recommended by an online friend from my website. I am glad I finally read it. I found the story very entertaining. The story made me think about my time in high school. Paper Towns is the story of teenagers and just them discovering things about themselves and their friends. How would you react if you just learned that your boyfriend and best girl friend were hooking up? Your friends knew but didn't bother to tell you? Would you just snap or would you do something like Margo Roth Spiegelman does in Paper Towns. Paper Towns follows Quentin Jacobsen and Margo Roth Spiegelman on an adventure and mystery. Q is the good kid and doesn't do anything wrong. Margo is the adventurous type. Two different personalities that were friends when the were young yet have grown apart like so many of us do over time.
